Who was Sheikh Mouhyidine?

This is a question that only the creator Allah can answer. The person who thinks to be closest to him would be the one who ignores him the most. The person who thinks he knows him better than anyone is the one who ignores him the most. So Sheikh Mouhyidine was a spiritual guide whose faith in Allah and love to the Prophet Mouhamed are immeasurable.

So to speak, talking about Sheikh Mouhyidine is not given to anyone. Sheikh Mouhyidine was the Koran personalized merchant on earth. He was a man of God who did rely on the Koran and the Sunnah in his works, a holy man, a revered spiritual guide, a universal and lined with an accomplished intellectual that drank to all sources of knowledge.

• Sheikh Mouhyidine was a unifier, a benefactor, a model, a sulfi, a trainer, an indefatigable educator.
• Sheikh Mouhyidine was an undisputed and indisputable Islamic monument.
• He was a father, a guide, a counselor and so on.
• Sheikh Mouhyidin was the Leg Defender of Prophet Mouhamed (May Allah grant him peace).

He would give food to the poor and put his property in the service of believers. He would give everything he has for the well-being of Muslims and would receive nothing from NGOs and political figures. All his life he practiced the recommendations of the Koran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Mouhamed (May Allah grant him peace).

Back from abroad with Diplomas

When Sheikh Mouhyidine came back from abroad, next to his father Sheikh Hama Diallo (May God have pity on his soul), he presented all the diplomas he got abroad. His father thanked him for the effort and hard work he did to obtain these degrees but told him that these diplomas relate little to the mission assigned to him.

Instead of looking for work in the Senegalese administration, his father orders him to build a temporary shelter and begin to teach the Koran to the children, the only way to have the salvation of the Prophet Mouhamed (May Allah grant him peace). So, he stayed next to his father and helped him with a lot of things. He was his right arm and his missionary. At the death of his father, he will continue his father's mission for the salvation of Islam in Sagne Bambara, in the surrounding villages and throughout Senegal.

At the time, it must be emphasized that he was in a very hostile environment to Islam where Bambara, Pulaar and Seereer had the majority of those who were pagan. He had to be strong and very rooted in the values of the Koran and Sunnah to succeed in his mission. But he had the chance to be a cultivated man who, whenever he spoke, we listened to him and admitted his words. His beautiful golden voice, his teaching conferences, his Friday Sermons had finally pushed a lot of people to convert to Islam. And these converts, coming from all horizons, came to occupy the first places of the Mosque of Sagne Bambara full of people, in order not to miss any word of his sermon.

Convinced that his mission to Sagne Bambara had been materialized, he thought it is necessary at the image of the Prophet Mouhamed and some scholars of Islam to conquer another territory to implement Islam and Sunnah.

Founding of Médinatoul Dieylany

In February 2004, a day of Arafat, after the final salvation of the two of the symbolic prayer that muslims are accustomed to do, at around 14 hours, Sheikh Mouhyidin turned to one of his right arms named Oussynou Badiane, raising the key to his car and said to him.: Sikhaye at three times: “go to do the administrative procedures so that it becomes the blessed terroir of Islam”.

This is how Ousseynou Badiane and Sheikh Muhyiddine driver, Djibril Coulibaly went to the President of the Rural Community of Dya at the time to introduce the ambition and vision of Sheikh Mouhyidine Alpha Samba Diallo on the peninsula of the religious city of Médinatoul Dieylany, formerly Sikhaye.

The administrative procedures for obtaining this territory were sprinkled with pitfalls and many difficulties related to the geographical position of the area. Some councilors of the Municipal Council agreed, others were against. Fortunately, the majority agreed. And a deliberation was made to shelter the soil of Médinatoul Dieylany.

Thus, Sheikh Mouhyidine fully acquired this territory in April 2004. This peninsula, Médinatoul Dieylany was a bush that existed since the night of the times that the marabout had to conquer, hunt the evil spirits and the bad geniuses that had been living there. Among the seven people who conquered this terroir, only Sheikh Mouhyidine managed to hunt the king of geniuses that prevented human life into this peninsula of Médinatoul Dieylany.

First visit to Médinatoul Dieylany

One day in the same year of 2004, Sheikh Mouhyidine decided to go for the first time to Médinatoul Dieylany, accompanied by Oussynou Badiane, Bassia Coulibaly, Djibril Coulibaly, his driver and another disciple named Assane.

Arriving at Médinatoul Dieylany, the Sheikh went down first in the car followed by the others. He did prayers at the exact place where the Zawiya is located. On this day, he proclaimed Sikhaye as being the blessed earth before it was baptized Médinatoul Dieylany by the Sheikh in 2015. After these prayers at the Zawiya, the Sheikh and his companions passed at the exact place where the Médinatoul Dieylany mosque is located to proceed directly to the installation of the first stone of the said mosque. At that time, more than 20 meters could not be seen because of trees and shrubs bordering the place.

Returning to Sagne Bambara after the visit, so many things happened, easy to tell but very difficult to see and live. The return to Sagne Bambara was hectic of odd and inexplicable appearance of the king of geniuses who lived in this territory and who prevented attendance and human life. But Sheikh Mouhyidine made prayers and with the help of God, he succeeded to barricade and escape the disturbing whirlwind appearances of the nasty genius.

In Sagne Bambara, Sheikh Mouhyidine continued his mystical struggle against the nasty genius until he or she (the genius) was forced to leave the soil of Médinatoul Dieylany under the effect of Sheikh Mouhyidine's ritual prayers.

Today, all the geniuses who live there are converted into Islam, therefore do not constitute threat on attendance and human life in Médinatoul Dieylany.

His vision for Médinatoul Dieylany

The primary goal of Sheikh Mouhyidine in this Médinatoul Dieylany was to build a modern (daara) school where dozens of children are nowadays being taught, raised, educated, fed and housed at the expense of Sheikh Mouhyidine Samba Diallo, build an orphanage, build a cemetery, build a market, build a hospital. In short, make this territory a modern religious city where it will be good to live in accordance with the recommendations of the Koran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Mouhamed (May Allah grant him peace).

Thus, after his first visit, the work began and the principle he gave to the masons and the workers is the image of the bird which must first make his nest before laying. For thus galvanizing the workers to arm courage, self-denial, punctuality and patience to achieve the end of his vision in this holy place of Médinatoul Dieylany.

The story of Médinatoul Dieylany is not easy to tell in a rushed and short way. There are so many things that happened in the meantime that it is very difficult to mention everything without forgetting. However, it can be said that since he has created this religious city, we continue to see the things he had predicted materialized and realized over time. On the other hand, there are still many things to do in the future.

That is why, at the end of his mission on Earth in April 2020, he confided the rest of the mission to his eldest son, Sheikh Ibrahima Diallo, current Khalif General of the International Muhyidist community, which he must continue to give the vision of his father in this religious city blessed of Médinatoul Dieylany a perfect and illustrative materialization of an enviable Islamic city by the Islamic UMMA. .
